The psychologist as a facilitator of mental health

This August 27 - Psychologist's Day - We celebrate not only the profession, but the value of mental health care, which has been considered fundamental to a healthier and more balanced life.
Nowadays, We realize that society is constantly changing, especially in times of crisis, when we face the challenge of dealing with the Vuca world. The term, used is used in the current context to characterize a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world. This concept is directly related to the uncertainties and speed with which changes occur.


We live in a society that demands the development of new interpersonal skills, adaptability, creativity and technological agility, to survive in the face of constant uncertainties and changes in the current context.
Today's world delivers knowledge, Opportunities and technological advances, but, on the other hand, triggers a society of anxiety, expectation, dissatisfaction and constant and unbridled pursuit of all these demands: the society of tiredness.


At this point, the psychologist enters, providing tools to enable self -knowledge, confrontation of difficulties and symptoms, aid in the management of anxiety, overcoming fears and trauma and the contribution to the development of Important skills for a resilient life.
Taking care of mental health is an act of care, prevention and responsibility. And we psychologists are facilitators for direction to a life that makes sense to the individual, with dedication, empathy and sensitivity, turning lives and helping to build a better world.


We can, as a society, value and reinforce the care of mental health, and enable an environment where everyone has the assistance they deserve.
