In this webinar, spirituality will be focused as an important element of the meaning of life and health. Neuroscience discoveries on brain function and spirituality will be presented, as well as correlations between the strengthening of health indicators associated with spirituality. The importance of cultivating the spiritual dimension to reduce psychopathology and improving mental health will be discussed, highlighting the possibilities of employing strategies, conditions and practices that arouse the emotion of enchantment ( awe ). Participants will learn the conditions for triggering and the health benefits of the emotion of “ awe ” as a powerful form of cultivation of spirituality.

In this webinar, the necessary concepts for an advanced understanding of religiosity and spirituality will be discussed and exemplified, such as theism, deism, and pantheism. A distinction between religiosity and spirituality will also be drawn, and religiosity is associated with an organized set of beliefs shared by a group of people, while spirituality refers to a connection with something larger than the self, without the obligation to share common beliefs.  Spirituality will be focused on a broader view, unlucky with religiosity, as an important element of the meaning of life and as an important component of mental health. Founds from neurosciences on brain function and spirituality will be presented, as well as correlations between the strengthening of mental health indicators and subjective well-being in the subjects where the presence of elements of spirituality is characterized. In particular, the conditions and practices that enhance the emotion of enchantment will be examined, and research that points to health benefits from the cultivation of spirituality through the activation of this emotional state.

Enchant participants with a broad view of the benefits of spirituality, present fascinating knowledge about the spiritual dimension of the emotion of enchantment ( a we ), learning how to channel the conditions, practices and strategies that enhance this emotional state.

Methodology
