Meet the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Program
If you have had at least 1 episode of depression and are looking for tools to prevent further seizures, the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Program is a great opportunity. Several clinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of MBCT in preventing new episodes of depression. It combines elements of Cognitive Therapy, such as awareness of thought distortions, with age-old meditative practices adapted by the scientific community.
The program is held in meetings over 8 weeks. In addition, participants receive handouts and audios with all guidelines for home practice. Among the objectives of the work are: make each one familiar with the functioning of your mind, perceive thoughts that reactivate depression, seek a different way of being and see the world, seeking acceptance without judgment. At the end of the program, one becomes able to keep the practice alone.
Meet the instructor Marcelo Trombka - MD with ongoing doctorate in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, improvement in neuropsychiatry from the University of Miami School of Medicine, member of the International Positive Psychology Association and Founder of Viva Mindfulness.
