CEFI Contextus Core Offers Adult Emotional Regulation Skills Development Program

Anxiety, Chemical Dependence, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Eating and Personality Disorders are frequent and distressing problems. What do they all have in common? The difficulties with emotional regulation.

With this in mind, CEFI's Contextus Core offers an emotional regulation skills development program for adults. The program is based on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), a therapeutic approach that emphasizes the balance between acceptance and change in promoting a life worth living.

The program is 9 months long with weekly two-hour meetings. The goal is to develop skills in key areas for self-regulation: Full Awareness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation, and Radical Acceptance. To be part of the group, one must be on individual therapy, or referred to individual therapy. The course has two available times: Thursdays from 18:30 to 20:30 hours and Mondays from 13:00 to 15:00 hours. If you were interested, schedule an appointment at 51 3346.1525.
