Case formulation: “neck” of psychotherapists?

These days I heard from colleagues that the “bottleneck” in clinical psychologists' offices is the formulation of cases.

Case formulation has to do with the starting point, with organizing the data. She helps us guide interventions as psychotherapists. 

What are clinically relevant customer behaviors?

What behaviors leave you away from the type of person you want to be? Which one approaches?

From the formulation, we can better understand what processes we need to be aware.
