Teen Skills Training Group
Adolescence is a phase marked by intense physical, emotional and intellectual changes. For some adolescents, the search for an identity and increased social interaction may be accompanied by psychological distress and risky behaviors. Already seen as an oscillating stage, some teens show feeling the highest emotional intensity, impulsiveness, and difficulties with interpersonal relationships.
These difficulties are part of what we know as Emotional Disruption, which consists of a great sensitivity to intense emotions and a slow return to a state of calm associated with a difficulty in modulating emotions and responding to them effectively and appropriately.
The Teen Skills Training Group is a 28-week course in which we seek to develop new strategies for dealing with emotions and everyday problems through a theoretical and experiential course in which the skills are addressed. Essential skills, divided into 4 modules: Full Awareness, Emotional Regulation, Tolerance to Malaise, and Interpersonal Effectiveness, designed to assist adolescents by emphasizing the balance between acceptance and change in promoting a life worth living. Dialectical Behavior Therapy is the therapeutic approach used and widely recognized as effective in the treatment of Emotional Disruption, perceived in disorders such as depression and anxiety, social phobia and in conditions where there are risky behaviors such as problematic substance use, eating disorders, self-mutilation. , aggressiveness, among other difficulties. The next module starts March 25th. Learn more at 51 99420-7008 (whatsapp) or visit www.cefipoa.com.br.
