International Women's Day

On International Women's Day, we at the core longevity want to celebrate women of all generations! Studies show that the proportion of women in the population increases as age advances. Women live more, but also fear more invisibility, prejudice and social pressure to fight against their own aging. In an elderly society like ours, aging makes the woman targeted by double discrimination: because of age and gender, which leads us to include the struggle against Idadism (prejudice over age) in today's agenda.
It is urgent that we can recognize the serious effects of this double discrimination for the consolidation of rights and equal opportunities between men and women of all generations, as well as the role and responsibility of each of us by a change of attitudes and behaviors in relation to old age and aging process.
