Acceptance Therapy and Commitment to Care in Mourning Situations
CEFI brings Professor José Ignacio Cruz Gaitán from Mexico to Porto Alegre for another international event. May 24th and 25th will be the Workshop The Therapy of Acceptance and Commitment in Care in Mourning Situations. It is aimed at psychologists, psychiatrists, students of psychology and medicine. It's 15 hours / class.
The course is a guide to grief management, being helpful in a preventive manner, as well as an intervention in cases of complicated grief. It allows the patient to adapt to the death of their loved one, recognizing the pain of loss without avoiding it, taking perspective on their own reactions and behaviors, directing their efforts to create a meaningful and purposeful life. The first part presents the theoretical model of grief and the clinical model based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In the second part there will be skills training needed to perform the treatment of grief from the ACT.
