International Training: Essentials in Family Therapy focused on emotions (EFFT)

Essential EFFT training is designed as an opportunity professional development to equip mental health professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary for an effective EFFT practice.

through theoretical teachings, practical exercises and collaborative learning, this program aims to deepen the understanding and application of the EFFT model, allowing participants to positively impact mental health and good -Gest of families in therapy.

This program invites participants to explore the therapy principles and interventions focused on emotions in family environments. Presents a clear structure for understanding processing and family emotional change, based on the EFFT model empirically.

• Understand EFFT empirical support.
• Describe EFFT treatment phases and major change events.
• Apply key interventions on EFFT through roloplays.
• Identify markers and interventions to process adaptive and non -adaptive emotions in family dynamics.
• Formulate cases using an EFFT model based on attachment theory.
• Work with emotional regulation strategies in the family context.
• Access and process emotional experiences to facilitate transformative changes in families.
• Develop a therapeutic alliance based on an attachment bond with each family member.
• Use the relational presence of the therapist within the family system.
• Develop a treatment plan and guide interventions using EFFT, based on markers and clinically relevant evaluation.
• Access emotions to develop corrective emotional experiences that and destruct the disadvantage emotional schemes in family interactions.
• Work and resolve fears and blocks to emotional involvement and processing in family dynamics.

Faculty

with George Faller (USA) and Giulia altera (Italy)

George Faller is a retired Lieutenant of the New York Fire Department, a marriage and family therapist licensed in New York and Connecticut, and approved by the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He is the founder and president of the New York Emotions Focused Therapy Center (EFT). As a coach in EFT, George teaches several classes at the Ackerman Institute for the Family (the oldest family institute of the United States) in New York, is a member of the Porter Casen Institute for the family at Tulane University in New Orleans and is the director Training from Center for Hope and Renewal in Greenwich, CT. Specializing in trauma, family EFT and therapist's personal issues, George is committed to bringing EFT to disadvantaged populations and boosting the avant -garde of effective therapy. George expects his books True Connection, Sacred Stress and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy to contribute to the EFT movement of making our world a safer place.

Giulia Altera is responsible for EFT training in Brazil and the care of EFT communities in Brazilian soil so that they can be born and grow in an atmosphere of collaboration, unity and mutual generosity. He is a trainer, supervisor and certified therapist Iceeft (Institute of Excellence in Emotions Focused on emotions focused on emotions, as well as one of the founders of the EFT Italia community and director of the EFT Nord Italia Center. Conducts Formations: Extership, - Core Skills, Air Workshop, Efit Workshop (Individual Emotion Focused) and Mini EFT approach courses and the formation of EFT therapist who want to conduct “Hold Me Tight®” groups. Giulia brings heat and passion to her work, and likes to offer therapy and supervision in person and online. It is before EFT, specialized with honors in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy at the Miller Institute of Genova. Performed international training in the treatment of dissociative trauma and disorders with Dr. Kathy Steele (International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD). He is also a certified scheme therapist. She has been involved in training outside her country and is helping to bring EFT to Brazil, Portugal, Poland and Iran.
