Attachment neurobiology

In this workshop, we will explore the neurobiological foundations underlying the development and functioning of attachment bonds. With a technical perspective and based on the latest neuroscience research, we will address how brain circuits, neurotransmitters and hormonal systems interact to shape and maintain affective relationships from childhood to adulthood.

Aspects such as the formation of emotional memory, the role of brain structures in regulating emotions and attachment behaviors, as well as the clinical implications of these neurobiological interactions. The module will also discuss how trauma, stress and affective deprivation impact brain architecture and what therapeutic interventions can be used to restore emotional health and strengthen safe bonds.

This module is suitable for professionals who want to understand how neurobiology directly influences attachment patterns and acquire practical tools to promote healthier and resilient affective relationships.
